M2 Convert for iPod is a file converter for the iPod that works under Windows. This converter usually goes under the radar because of its name, but it is really a great product. It combines both a DVD ripper and a file converter in a single package. It also has great design and works incredibly fast, thanks to the continuous development by the developers. M2 Convert has several versions, including versions for the iPhone, the iPod and more. It supports file formats AVI, ASF, WMV, MOV, MPG, MPEG, AVC, OGG, MP4, DivX, FLV (Youtube), MP1, MP2, IFO, DIC, MP3, WMA, WAV, AAC. There is an incredible list of features. You can convert whole DVDs to iPod formats, or you can select single chapters. You can even rip the DVD movie to an audio file. M2 Convert also features various resolutions and can compress using both MP4 and H.264 technologies. There is also a nice preview window that allows you to see exactly how the files are going to look. All in all, although not the most popular, this application is really great. And it is not too expensive.
